Help for those who need it

The foundation was set up in August 2007 to concentrate Rudolf Ostermann’s social commitment and to offer perspectives to people in need of help. The aims of the foundation, which began with assets of € 500,000, have been widely drawn:

Science, research, education and social development are promoted and assistance is given to projects for young people and the elderly, public health and welfare and sport.  Furthermore, people in need and church projects are supported.

The foundation’s first donation - € 10,000 – was made to the club "Mit Dir" (With you), a project which provides special assistance to children and young people.  The first large project has also been initiated: the home "Arche Nova" in Hamburg for young people who have been brain damaged in traffic accidents.  The ROF financed most of the building, which would not have come into being without Rudolf Ostermann’s targeted commitment.  25 places are planned and there have already been 70 to 80 enquiries.  This project came about through a friend of Rudolf Ostermann’s who lives in Hamburg and who has looked after a brain damaged nephew for many years.
