Ostermann's extensive range

The Rudolf Ostermann Group can look back on over 20 years of experience in the supply of edgings - his represents a wealth of expertise and experience with these materials and how best to process them.

Ostermann was one of the first companies in the 1980’s to supply 2mm-thick PVC edgings and since that time has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to spot new trends. The latest significant material transition from PVC to ABS, on environmental grounds, is just one example of this. Ostermann identified this development from a very early stage and reacted to it accordingly.

Edgings

The most popular materials in Ostermann's range of edgings are currently solid woods, ABS, melamine and acrylics.

ABS - 0.4 mm – 3 mm

The thermoplastic edgings, tried and trusted by the trade, meet every requirement for modern furniture and interior design, setting benchmarks for quality and fulfilling current standards in processing. Ostermann supplies 1 mm – 3 mm ABS edgings in lengths starting from 1 metre. Customers may also order any width up to 104 mm. All ABS edgings come with primer applied to ensure a top quality bond. If requested, Ostermann ABS edgings may also be supplied pre-glued with EVA hotmelt adhesive.

Melamine - with or without a hotmelt adhesive coating

This special paper edging is impregnated with duroplastic resins and is available straight from the Ostermann warehouse in numerous colours and decors. Every melamine edging from the extensive range may be supplied with or without an EVA hotmelt adhesive coating.

3D Acrylic edgings – ultra-modern designs

A rear-sided printing method is employed to give these acrylic edgings a special threedimensional effect. The acrylic layer creates the modern glazed appearance of these edgings (apart from the matt lacquered versions) and a high polish finish can be achieved. Ostermann's ever-reliable customer service delivers these excellently designed edgings in lengths starting from 1 metre.

Solid wood edgings – diverse range

Veneer edgings are available in various thicknesses ranging from 0.5 to 3 mm. Alongside the standard wood types such as beech and maple, the range also contains trendy wood grains such as walnut and knotty oak. Other varieties available include attractive transverse veneer edgings, end grain edgings or multi-layered edgings as well as exclusive sandwich edgings made from real wood and aluminium. Solid wood edgings can be optionally supplied with or without a hotmelt adhesive coating.
