The trend towards high gloss furniture is increasing the demand within the trade for high gloss edgings. Ostermann shines through with a huge range of sizes, colours and decors.

The German wholesale trader has not only successfully added high gloss edgings to its range, it now also offers over 50 different colours, decors and sizes. Ostermann's high gloss range includes standard colours such as bright arctic white, ivory, dark black, graphite or Windsor grey. The range also contains numerous warm summer colours such as clementine, corn poppy and yellow-green. But that's not all. Ostermann also has 18 high gloss decorative wood grains. Whether it be oak, macassar or zebrano – cabinetmakers will find a great deal from which to choose.

Guaranteed quality

Comparing standard tradesman's gloss edgings with Ostermann's high gloss edgings makes the difference in gloss quality immediately obvious. Ostermann's gloss is clearly better and significantly more apparent. The flat surfaces of standard gloss edgings are produced by a simple lacquer. The multi-layers high gloss coating of Ostermann's high gloss edgings greatly enhances the edging material and gives it an even better quality.

Ostermann's high gloss edgings are only made from the highest grade of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) making them extremely robust and resilient. Before going into initial production, all the materials have been extensively tested by means of special test procedures, which are based on the rigid specifications and quality standards of the furniture industry. ABS is a shock-resistant, mechanical and thermal-resistant thermo-plastic material with a good life-cycle rating. It is the excellent application, processing and disposal characteristics of ABS, in particular, that have enabled it to so successfully penetrate the furniture manufacturing market.

Ostermann’s high gloss edgings are available in thicknesses of 1 mm, 1.3 mm and 2 mm. The majority of high gloss edgings are available in the 23 mm standard width. Selected decor designs are also available in 34 mm, 45 mm and 100 mm versions. The high gloss edgings are normally supplemented with a protective film.

As it is the norm with Ostermann, all edgings can be supplied in lengths of 1 m and upwards directly from our warehouse, i.e. within 48 hours.
