ABS Edgings with Walnut Decor

Walnut is a precious wood. Its rather vivid colour gradient, the natural grain and warm hue are currently in vogue in furniture and interior design. Furniture boards with walnut decor offer a resource-saving alternative to real wood or wood veneer. OSTERMANN provides the matching edgings.

Walnut is a shade-intolerant tree and as such can only be used for a finite number of silvicultural purposes. In Europe, you will mostly see it as a single tree in gardens or parks. Due to its limited availability and because of its decorative grain and colour, the precious wood has always been connected with high-quality furniture and interior design. For some time now, the vibrant colour gradient and warm base tone are quite in vogue. Wood decor boards in walnut look are a resource-saving alternative to real wood or wood veneer. For the narrow surface, OSTERMANN offers various ABS edgings with walnut decors. The experts in edging present five of them here. All the above edgings are available from stock in widths of 23, 33, 43 and 100 mm.

ABS Edgings with Walnut Decor

Modern, classic or refined?

With the ABS edging Natural Pacific Walnut, OSTERMANN has succeeded in creating a classic walnut decor with an exceptionally modern look. The light base tone of the edging looks very natural due to slight, irregular stripes with lighter and darker elements. Those who prefer the somewhat darker wood tone typical of walnut are spoilt for choice with the Natural Dijon Walnut, Lincoln Walnut and Natural Carini Walnut edgings. The Dijon variant tends to be slightly reddish in colour. The Lincoln decor is characterised by the alternation of lighter and darker transversal gradients. A somewhat more muted alternative is the Carini decor. There are fewer bright elements here, so the edging itself makes an overall calmer impression. The ABS edging Okapi Walnut shows a slightly wider, dark brown, striped texture, which makes for a refined look.

1 or 2 mm? That is the question...

All mentioned edgings are in stock as a 1 mm and as a 2 mm variant. But which thickness is suitable for which project? The following questions offer assistance: Is the furniture round or straight? Or is it the feel that matters? While the 1 mm thick edging makes linear furniture look exceptionally good due to its low height and inconspicuous radius, the surface embossing and thus the feel naturally come out better in edgings with a thickness of 2 mm. The trend towards rounded furniture is also better implemented with the 2 mm thick edging.

OSTERMANN Tip

Those who prefer a tactile feel should choose the Lincoln Walnut, Carini Walnut or Okapi Walnut decors in 2 mm thickness. These feature a realistic wood pore embossing; the natural look is further enhanced by an equally realistic feel.
