- 4 New ABS Edgings With End Grain Decor
Wooden furniture constitute the basis for natural furnishings and bring a hint of forest atmosphere to our homes. Matt finishes add a modern twist. OSTERMANN unites both on the edging and offers 4 ABS edgings with coarsely textured wood decors and yet a matt finish. These are exact matches to Egger's PerfectSense Feelwood decors.
Wood, matt surfaces and sustainability - this triad pretty much sums up present interior design trends. Egger's PerfectSense Feelwood boards provide the benefits of matt lacquered surfaces and still meet the preference for natural wood looks. Edging specialist OSTERMANN now provides processors with 4 exactly matching edgings. Common to all of them is their matt oiled look and a ribbed feel. Still, they offer all benefits of ABS edgings: they are easy to process and durable.
Varied Oak Decors
What makes coarsely textured wood decors popular is the perception of being closer to nature. If the texture can actually be felt, you have got the perfect illusion. Oak in particular is very versatile and therefore great for different natural furnishing styles. It offers something for everyone, be it light Scandinavian decors, heavily textured vintage designs or elegant dark colour schemes. In the following, the OSTERMANN experts present their new ABS edgings with oak decors. These match the relevant PerfectSense Feelwood Egger boards of the same names.
Light or Playful: Bleached Cuneo Oak and Smoked Riffian Oak
Of the four new edgings, Bleached Cuneo Oak is the lightest variant. It perfectly matches the planked board decor from the Egger Feelwood line and is easily combined with lately popular green, blue or grey tones. The ABS edging Smoked Riffian Oak has a warmer hue. With shakes and a varying, slightly greenish brown tone, the decor most notably suits slightly playful vintage furnishings. In terms of colour, it comes into place when combined, for example, with soft shades of pink or beige.
Striking or Classy: Brown Halifax Oak and Dark Brown Garonne Oak
Brown Halifax Oak is characterised by a prominent natural texture and strong contrasts between lighter and darker areas. The decor comes into full effect in contemporary shopfitting concepts, such as a hip bar or restaurant. Other than that, it also works as an eye-catcher on individual furniture pieces, best combined with plain-coloured matt surfaces. The latter - combinations with plain uni colours and matt surfaces - also goes for the ABS edging Dark Brown Garonne Oak. Due to an even darker base colour, the grain does not stick out as much, though: the edging appears classy and is suited even for large-scale
Inspiration for Interior Ideas
On the hunt for new ideas? Virtual 360° tours on the OSTERMANN website offer inspiration for cosy rooms with wooden decors. In several private and commercial interiors, craftsmen will of course also find many other applications for new projects. Additional benefit for the end customer: when presented with an application from a 360° tour, the customer immediately sees built-in products in a room. That makes it much easier to imagine what the result would look like.
