New Edgings for a Cutting-Edge OSB Design
OSB boards are often used for walls, ceilings and floors in interior construction. You can also see more and more of the coarse chipboards used as a surface in furniture making, though, which gave OSTERMANN reason to include the matching edgings in their range.
OSB stands for "oriented strand board". The boards are made of coarse shavings from soft- or hardwood and are characterised by their extreme stability. The vivid and natural look of randomly arranged swarf as well as the special touch make it an interesting material for processing modern furniture or shop and interior fittings. OSTERMANN has now included two new edgings with an OSB decor in its range, with which the open cut surfaces of the board can be properly closed.

New: Real Wood Edging "OSB"
If you are processing OSB panels and want to stay true to the material "wood" at the edging as well, you should use the new real wood edging 070.0058. OSB . The 1.3 mm thick veneer edging is available in widths of 24, 33 and 43 mm and is sold in rolls from a length of 50 metres, as is standard with OSTERMANN veneer edgings. The advantage: the edging can be adjusted perfectly to the colour of the OSB surface by doing additional reworks on the furniture, such as painting, sanding, pickling or varnishing.
New: ABS Edging "OSB"
Processors who favour an ABS edging will find the right solution in the new edging 048.9261. OSB. The edging is available in standard widths of 23, 33, 43 and 100 mm and in two thicknesses of 1 and 2 mm. The advantage with ABS edgings is that you benefit from small minimum purchase quantities: like all ABS edgings, this edging will be supplied from a length of only 1 metre. ABS material offers reliable protection against impacts and - depending on the bond - the ingress of moisture. The edging is further available in other than standard widths; upon request, OSTERMANN will cut a 100 mm wide edging into any desired width.
