Advantage 5: Diversity and compatibility
ABS can be melted down and reused without any problems. It therefore always makes sense to recycle unprocessed leftovers. Chipboard with ABS edgings can also be recycled.
6. Advantage: Deliveries upwards of 1 metre
As a Tischler/Schreiner does not usually require large quantities of the same edging, but small quantities of different edgings, we offer all ABS edgings in small quantities upwards of 1 metre.
Advantage 7: Different thicknesses
We offer ABS edgings in various thicknesses. Thin ABS edgings with a thickness of 0.4 mm are particularly suitable for use in non-visible areas, i.e. as edgings that are not exposed to impacts. If it is important that the radius is mostly invisible, a thickness of 1 mm is used - for example for extremely matt or high-gloss surfaces. They are also ideal for furniture pieces with straight lines. For boards with a dark core or coarse chipboard structure, or for furniture that is supposed to appear more rounded, 2 mm thick ABS edgings are the best choice.
Advantage 8: Variety of structures
The best edging is always the one you can't see! Therefore the edging material should both visually and haptically be as close as possible to the surface of the furniture. The structures of furniture edgings are just as varied as the surface structures of furniture boards: from fine microstructures to different wood and stone structures to textiles or cross embossing.
9. Advantage: Many gloss levels
In addition to these haptic components, the right gloss level is also important for a perfect edging. This is achieved by painting the edging if required. The products in our range include "excellent matt" with a gloss level of < 5 as well as the absolute opposite, "excellent gloss" with a gloss level of > 90. In between, there is a multitude of other qualities.
Advantage 10: Individual widths
We also have edgings in the corresponding standard widths for all common chipboard thicknesses. However, as suppliers continue to differentiate themselves from furniture stores with customised solutions, we naturally also offer edgings in non-standard widths as a special service. In this case, a 100 mm wide ABS edging is cut to any desired width on special machines.
