Cleaners for the Edgebanding Machine

Which cleaner and which release agent is needed for different units on the edgebanding machine? Our experts are very knowledgeable in this area and they are in permanent exchange with the machine manufacturers. Here we have gathered all the important information for you:

Inside the machine, spray units with different release and cooling agents, lubricants and cleaners ensure smooth and safe operation while edgings are being processed. Little known fact: the sustainable REDOCOL greenline Teclinex One For All can be used on all spray units in the formatting, glue and pressure, post-processing and finishing zones. This reduces storage costs and simplifies the work.

Teclinex One for All

The transparent cleaner developed by us is based on organic alcohol. It makes it easier to handle the machine and ensures a high-quality finish when processing edgings.

  • Reduction of storage costs
  • Occupational and environmental protection due to plant-based sustainable raw materials
  • Evaporates quickly and without leaving residues
Overview of the REDOCOL Greenline Teclinex One for All cleaner in various packaging sizes for edgebanding machines.

1. Release Agent for the Formatting Zone

Before the jointing cutters, the release agent is sprayed along the edge of the board from above and below. It prevents hotmelt adhesive from sticking to the board surfaces.

Matching products:

  • REDOCOL greenline Teclinex One For All
  • FSG release agent TR 8 Plus

2. Cooling Agent for the Glue and Pressure Zone

Right after the pressure rollers, a cooling agent ensures that the still hot adhesive joint cools down as quickly as possible. This allows the radius to be milled off cleanly in the next step.

Matching products:

  • REDOCOL greenline Teclinex One For All
  • FSG cooling agent KM 1 Plus
Gluing and pressing zone of an edgebanding machine with cooling agent application, pressure rollers and spray nozzles on a coated wooden panel.

3. Release Agent & Lubricant for the Post-Processing Zone

To ensure that milling cutters and scraper blades work optimally in the post-processing zone, many machines have another spray point before the post-processing unit.

Matching products:

  • REDOCOL greenline Teclinex One For All
  • FSG release agent TR 12 Plus
Post-processing zone of an edgebanding machine with a coating of release agent and lubricant, as well as two spray nozzles, on a coated wooden panel.

4. Cleaning Agent for the Finishing Zone

The edged board should leave the machine clean and without residues. A cleaning agent is therefore sprayed on before the buffing discs.

Matching products:

  • REDOCOL greenline Teclinex One For All
  • FSG plastic cleaner type 925 Plus
Finishing zone of an edgebanding machine featuring cleaning agent application, spray nozzles and two polishing discs on a coated wooden panel.

A Final Tip:

If your machine has fewer spray units and you still want to protect pressure rollers and sensors from soiling with adhesive residue, we recommend the release spray Acmos 100-2450. With the handy spray can, you can access even hard-to-reach areas in the machine
