Ostermann Has the Matching Edgings
With the One World Collection 2024, Swiss Krono AG has just presented its new collection for interior design. As carpenter / cabinet maker looking for suitable edgings for the boards' narrow surfaces, you will find them in our range.
Our living environments have changed significantly since the launch of the last One World Collection in 2020. Pressing societal issues such as climate protection, sustainability and health have now taken centre stage in furnishing-related questions, as well. In addition, people are working more from home, which means that living space is quickly transformed into working space and back again. The new One World Collection 2024 from Swiss Krono AG responds to existing trends and offers a new transnational basic collection with 88 decor and surface combinations that match the current trend. As always, we reacted quickly and allocated suitable furniture edgings. These are available from stock in standard widths of 23, 33, 43 and 100 mm. Plus, 100 mm edgings can be cut to any other desired width on request. Processors whose edgebanding machines work with zero bondline technologies can receive their edgings with a functional layer specially adapted to the technology at short notice.
To help users select and combine surfaces, the Swiss Krono experts have identified four different furnishing trends and assigned corresponding surfaces to them:
The Me-Shed: Relaxation and Cosiness
One furnishing trend was named "The Me-Shed" by Swiss Krono. This trend is focussing on the desire for relaxation and mental health. In addition to many plain colours in matt green tones, there is a striking number of walnut decors. A highlight is the Art Deco Walnut decor with its delicate golden lines between walnut inlays, which visually simulates a three-dimensional cube structure. We have the matching ABS edgings in our range. Another remarkable design is Calm Walnut Brown. As the name suggests, it is a somewhat calmer, dark walnut decor. Here, too, it is worth taking a look at our matching OSTERMANN edging.
Conscious Home: Nature and Well-Being
The second trend is labelled "Conscious Home" by Swiss Krono. It stands for our growing closeness to nature and appears in the collection with many bright, natural colours and materials. Examples are the surfaces Coco Tweed Cream or Heyday Beige. The edgings are now available in our shop.
Playful Spaces: Individuality and Bold Experimentation
Behind the furnishing trend known as "playful spaces" are decors that deliberately bypass the mainstream. The combination of bold colours, different textures and material reproductions creates furniture that transmit a cheerful, optimistic energy. For furniture with a "wow" effect, Swiss Krono often uses the Terrazzo Fresh surface, a lively terrazzo decor. We recommend a combination with boards in the new plain colour Granit Grey.
Throwaway mentality was yesterday. The "Responsive Furniture" trend is characterised by modular, flexible furniture that creates multifunctional spaces. This furnishing style is based on neutral plain colours and restrained decors that can be flexibly combined to form a balanced colour scheme. As edging highlights, our OSTERMANN experts recommend the ABS edgings for the Swiss Krono decors Stonetex Beige or Soft Chestnut Light.
