In order to remove even the last bits of adhesive residue from highly textured or embossed furniture surfaces or from high gloss or super matt decors, Riepe has now developed a new brush system for edgebanding machines: Texture Finish. It cleans the work pieces effectively and gently.
Riepe Texture Finish: This Is How It Works
Texture Finish is a combination of a release agent spraying system and a new type of brush combination. The system replaces the classic buffing unit on edgebanding machines.
This means that the usual cloth buffing units are replaced by a new type of brush with a fine-tuned combination of slightly abrasive polyamide bristles and soft natural fibre bristles. Thanks to a newly developed universal fit, the Texture Finish brushes can be installed onto the existing motors of the buffing units. A new spraying system for release agents developed especially for the new brushes prevents adhesive residue from sticking to the bristles and thus prolongs the service life. Simultaneously, the surfaces are not put under strain during processing.
Retrofitting of the Texture Finish system is usually possible for all edgebanding machines. Refitting is done on site by Riepe's technicians.
The advantage: Unlike with classic cloth buffing units, the bristles can reach even the more deeply embossed areas between the radius and the board and thus removes even the last bits of adhesive residue.
