Riepe

Riepe Release Agents and Cleaners – professional solutions for cleaning and releasing during edge processing, ensuring clean surfaces free of residue.

Release Agents & Cleaners by Riepe

With the release agent LPZ/II, the anti-static cooling agent LP 289/99, the lubricant NFLY and the cleaner LP163/93, Riepe has always been a pioneer in setting new standards for machine-based edge processing. These products ensure smooth and safe processes at various spray points during the processing of edgings as they pass through the edgebanding machine. These and other Riepe products are now available in the OSTERMANN range. In addition, the edging specialist supplies practical tools by Riepe, such as the LP407/13 chain plate cleaner, the LP 305/98 surface cleaner, the Lube Pen for the infeed fences, and the NFLY lubricant in a spray can for manual use.

Which Product is Suitable for Which Section of the Edgebanding Machine?

In the formatting zone, the top and bottom surfaces of the substrate board are sprayed with the LPZ/II release agent before passing through the jointing cutters. The hotmelt adhesive will then no longer adhere to the board surfaces in the subsequent steps of the process.

In the gluing and pressing zone, the antistatic cooling agent ensures that the hot adhesive joint and edging cool down as quickly as possible after passing the large pressure roller. This allows the excess adhesive and the radius of the edging to be neatly milled away in the next step.

To ensure that milling cutters and scrapers operate optimally in the finishing zone and that edgings with protective film can be processed without any problems, many machines have an additional spray point prior to finishing. Riepe offers the NFLY release agent and lubricant for this purpose.

In the finishing zone, before the polishing discs, the cleaning agent LP 163/93 is then sprayed onto both sides of the substrate board. When used in combination with the polishing pads, the applied cleaner removes all process-related liquids and adhesive residues from the surface. For machines fitted with the modern "Texture Finish" release agent spray system, OSTERMANN also offers the Riepe Texture Fluid TF25 release agent.

Products for Manual Cleaning

If your using a machine that does not have an electronically controlled spray nozzle, you can use the NFLY release agent and lubricant in a spray can. The aerosol can, for example, be sprayed manually onto the main pressure roller, preventing adhesive residue from sticking to it. OSTERMANN also supplies other Riepe cleaning agents, such as the LP 407/13 chain plate cleaner or the LP 305/98 cleaner for manual cleaning.
