Description
Scotch 431 aluminium tape is a universal adhesive tape easy to unroll. It is suitable for masking, sealing, heat and light reflection as well as for insulation in construction and climate technology. It is characterised by a high ageing resistance, good chemical resistance as well as a low flammability (class L). The soft-aluminium tape is equipped with an acrylate adhesive.

Tip
The surfaces which are to be bonded have to be clean, i.e. free of dust, grease, oil and release agents, as well as dry, hard and as smooth as possible. There is no need to grind the surface. The ideal processing temperature is generally between 18 °C and 30 °C. Application temperatures of less than 10 °C are not recommended, as the adhesive then gets too hard and its immediate tack decreases. Once the tape has been properly applied, lower temperature no longer have an influence on the quality of the bond.
