First Aid box Special “Woodworking” for saw mills, the furniture industry, carpenters, joiners and wood turners, wood carvers and furniture restorers. Different hazards require different equipment. The contents of this Special series have been individually supplemented for different occupational risks on the basis of the current DIN standards for first aid boxes in businesses and meet different requirements as a result.

The new workplace regulation ASR A4.3 “First Aid Rooms, Material and Facilities for First Aid” sets legally-binding uniform directives for all workplaces, whether at large industrial corporations, in trade businesses, for small businesses, in the public sector and also at educational institutions. The ASR A4.3 specifies requirements for the German Workplace Order, such as the requirements for first aid materials and facilities, as well as first aid rooms, or the type and number of first aid boxes that must be provided and their contents. In manufacturing and processing businesses:

• 1 to 20 employees 1 x DIN 13157 small
• From 21 to 100 employees 1 x DIN 13169 large
• For every additional 100 employees in addition 1 x DIN 13169 large

On building sites:

• 1 to 10 employees 1 x DIN 13157 small
• From 11 to 50 employees 1 x DIN 13169 large
• For every additional 50 employees in addition 1 x DIN 13169 large

1 large first aid box DIN 13169 can be replaced with 3 small first aid boxes DIN 13157.
